Before We Move, We Curl!

After wrapping up hockey season on Friday, it was time for some curling! Everyone in attendance had a blast as 16 of us got together Saturday, March 27 at the Detroit Curling Club in Ferndale. Big thanks to Pat Libby for setting this all up. This was an excellent primer for our new location next to Canada!

The Plan Becomes Reality

The RenCen office has really started to take shape with the assembly of the cubes, desks and chairs. Also, the kitchen area is all but finished as are the side offices.

Everyone Is Getting Excited

My 7 year-old daughter Brooke was coming with me to work on Saturday February 27. I had taken her on a tour around the RenCen a couple of weeks before when we went to a show at the Fox Theater.

She seemed very excited to get up and go to work with me. We were heading down I-696 and exiting at Evergreen Rd. when she looked around and recognized the Southfield office.

"We aren't going to Detroit?," she said surprisingly. "AWWW!"

Paul Paulczak was able to capture some of the newest developments to the office last week, including the majority of the drywall being installed and the finished plumbing. Check it out!

We've Been Framed!

As in, the interior walls of the office have been framed in.

And just my opinion, but putting on a hard hat and safety glasses when you aren't doing any work reminded me of wearing my dad's work boots and jacket when I was kid. You might be wearing work clothes, but you don't look like you are going to be doing any work.

Construction Begins!

As February rolls in, April 1 and the CHR-Detroit move to the Renaissance Center in Detroit is approaching at a break-neck pace.

Under the watchful eye of Scott Jagod, the demo and construction of the inner sanctum of the future downtown Detroit is underway!

Not One, But Two New Phones If You Act Now!

How will they work? That is still anybody's guess, but everyone will start April 1 with 2 new NEC DT330 phones with new features such as direct dial phone numbers and visibility of every call ringing in their cube.

You will be the envy of everyone in your neighborhood or your money back!
